I have a tool that I know little about. It is a Simonds Sawstrainmeter and is about five inches long in a sort of u shape with dial meter on one side. It has marks for understrain- correct strain- and over strain in the dial. I placed it on our head rig saw and it read understrain. Is anyone familiar with this tool and does it come in different sizes for different mill applications?
