We are currently having problems with a McGEEHEE CURVE SAWING GANG EDGER. WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING 350 FPM ON 6" CANTS WHICH IS FAR BELOW WHAT SOME MILLS ARE.IT CUTS WEDGES,THE TOP BEING THICKER THAN THE BOTTOM.sOMETIMES AS MUCH AS 40 TO 50 THOUSANDTHS.wE HAVE USED A DIAL INDICATOR TO CHECK THE ARBOR WHICH IS SPLINED.THE SAWS WE RUNNING ARE 63 PLATE.wE HAVE CHECKED OUR OIL AND WATER FLOW AND EVERYTHING IS TO SPECS.tHE EDGER SAW TOOTH ANGLES HAVE BEEN DOUBLE CHECKED. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW CRITCAL THE CHIPPING HEAD TOLERANCES ARE FROM LEAD TO TRAIL SIDE.
