I am interested in information on saw guide lubrication in commercial lumber mills in general. Specifically, how are the oil and water rates determined? What is the best way to know when one or the other should be adjusted? Can it be determined while the saw is operating or just by the condition of the blade when it is shut down? Does the oil rate and/or water rate usually differ based on type of blade? type of wood? type of oil? What are typical problems with saw guide lubrication? Any feedback at all on this subject would be appreciated. THANKS
