Prefab pole cutoff saw

Can anybody tell me what kind of saw is used by manufacturers to cut prefab pole buildings for contractors to erect? I was told by ome manufacturer there machine had two saws on it for cutting douglas fir purlins.What would be the type and thickness of the blade for this type of cutting?
