DONT SOUND LIKE IT IS GOING VERY WELL FOR YOU. BANDSAW CRACK'S CAN COME FROM ALOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS. WE TIG WELD ALL OF ARE CRACK'S WE TEND TO HAVE TIME TO TIME. IT IS ALOT FASTER THAN GAS WELDING AND TAKES ALOT OF WORK OUT OF LEVELING THE WELD. ANY WAY, BACK TO THE CRACKING. I WOULD START BY CHECKING CROSS- LINE IN THE BANDMILL. ONCE THERE IS NO CROSSLINE I WOULD CHECK AND MAKE SURE MY SAWDUST SHEAR'S ARE WORKING CORRECTLY AND NOT ALLOWING ANY SAWDUST TO GO AROUND WHEEL. LOOSING AND MOVE BACK SAWDUST SHEAR START SAW SO SAW TRACKS ON WHEEL FOR NORMAL CUTTING CONDITIONS. ADJUST SHEAR OUT TO SAW SO THERE IS NO DAYLIGHT IN- BETWEEN SHEAR AND SAW AND TIGHTEN SHEAR. I WORKED IN A MILL WHERE I DID NOT TURN SAW OVER TO GET IT TRACKING AND I GOT ALOT I MEAN ALOT OF CRACKS UNTIL I RE-DID MY SHEAR'S. AFTER THIS I WOULD CHECK MY ALIGNMENT. MEASURE WHEEL'S USING A PIE-TAPE. MAKE SURE WHEELS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND DONT NEED GROUND. IF WHEELS NEED GROUND AND ARE IN BAD SHAPE THIS WILL ALSO CAUSE CRACK'S. CHECK WHEEL BEARING'S IN BANDMILLS. DOE'S BANDMILL HAVE ANY VIBRATION'S? I WOULD ALSO CHECK BEARING'S ON HUB ON BANDSAW GRINDER'S. ANY VIBRATION'S WHILE GRINDING CAN ALSO CAUSE CRACK'S. ANOTHER TACTIC PEOPLE USE IS ROLLING THE GULLETT'S ON THE BENCH TO TAKE THE GRINDING BURR OF THE SAW. ALSO PEOPLE DIE GRIND GULLETT'S AFTERE SHARPENING THE SAW TO PREVENT CRACK'S. THERE ARE ALOT OF FILER'S OUT THERE WHO DO DIFFERENT THING'S TO PREVENT FOM GETTING CRACK'S. I THINK GETTING CRACK'S IN SAW'S IS ALL PART OF THE LEARNING PROCESS TO MAKE US ALL BETTER SAW FILER'S. WELL I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.IM SURE GETTING CRACK'S IS NOT FROM YOUR BENCHWORK. IT IS PROBABLY FROM THE BANDSAW GRINDER AND OR MILL PROBLEM'S. DID YOU GET A BATCH OF SAW'S WITH BAD METAL PERHAP'S. TAKE CARE, HANG IN THERE.
