Stobes only have two advantages 1 the are apoint wear stress can be let out. 2 the only purpose for strobes besides the 1 reason is to keep the plate clean near the cutting edge thus redusing heat. stobes are the only way to go.I run .085 plate at 500 feet per minute in my gang and it runs great. if you have problems let me know.
