One method of pinpointing areas of movement in a sharpchain system is to attatch a small laser pointer on a log upstream of the sharp chain. Point the laser to a target set up at the finish end of the sharp chain. Then track the log through while watching the movement. A further addition to this method is to use a clear target with a movie camera installed behind to record all movements and where the log was located at the time of most movement from center of target. Note: A lot of controling of the log can be done with the anvil settings. This can be a good thing if you use them correctly.
