Hello, I made,sold and used all types of bands for a well known saw producer.One of the most common causes of cracks in new saws are the faliure to make a few passes with your grinder out of the box.Most saw makers have grinding speeds much faster than mill used machines.This will clean the gullet out and expose new meatal not yet case hardened.Also check to make sure that your saw maker rolled his tension lines in the saw butted up line to line.Not all makers do that.This will allow the tension and back to release evenly and not in places where no lines were present.Heat and friction will speed this process up and cause the tension to drop out of the front quarter and leave you with cracks.Hope that helps...
