the biggest disadvantage of stellite than carbide, is stellite will get dull alot quicker. especialy on dry redfir, hemlock or any hard wood. if you want to change saws every 2 to 4 hours than stellite is for you . if you want to run 8 to 10 hours then stick with carbide. on white wood stellite will run close to 8 hours.stellite will run better on smaller toothbite under .030 . carbide seems to do better on above .030 toothbite. if you need more information, and want to know how i come to this conclustion you can reach me at makaiv@aol.com
