There ae a lot o different types of narrow bandsaw on the market now. One of the best that I have seen is from Lennox. It is patterned after metalcutting saws and uses a stellite tip with a variable tooth pitch. Wasboard has always been a problem in metal cutting so if it helps here, why not in wood.
