Well we tried to run some stainless saws about a year ago. We tryed .045 plate, ran for a while then started to self destruct.We would open our edger and there would be saws totally gone!! Blown up. But i have talked to a few filers that have ran thicker plate and love it. So my advice is if you are going thin saws don't even bother. That's all i can help you with man. Good Luck.
