The Manufacturers of saws do not and cannot control the the way the saw steel is made. Unfortunatly this seems to be the way it is and it is not helping anyone. The steel gets weaker and there is not much that can be done from the suppliers end. It all starts at where the steel is made. Maybe if a big enough stink is made the formula for the steel today can be changed but you can be sure it will affect the pricing of saws in the future.
