I am a "rookie" filer trainee seeking some more technical instruction for benching 18 inch and 20 inch round saws. I have the basics down with finding the ridges and radial lumps with the straight edge, and the basic hammering techniques also. In my filing room, though, the training is being received the "old-fashioned" way.....someone who was taught by someone who was taught by someone else is teaching me. I feel that the 70 % rule has been worn out. Too much needed knowledge has been lost through the passing down of training. Proper tension checking techniques and stretch rolling to name a few. If anyone has knowledge of any filer school classes or any form of "really good" saw filer training programs, either in the United States or Canada........or even Argentina.......any information would be greatly appreciated. Please send information via E-Mail to brandonrash@centurytel.net or regular Postal Mail to B.W. Rash, 299 Nevada 28, Prescott, Arkansas 71857.
